Obituary

Bradey Gerald Sorenson

Green Bay - Bradey Gerald Sorenson, age 21, of Green Bay, left this earth far too early on October 8th, 2021. He was born on May 3rd, 2000, in Green Bay, son of Steve and Sheri (Van Der Leest) Sorenson.

Bradey grew up in the Green Bay area and was a proud "Red Raider for Life", having graduated from Pulaski High School in 2018. He enjoyed playing in many sports, but he loved playing baseball and was extremely passionate about wrestling for his beloved Pulaski Red Raiders. His sense of pride and commitment to the Red Raiders likely helps to explain his love for the color red.

Shortly after graduating from high school, Bradey started working for Faith Technologies as an Electrical Apprentice, where he was working on becoming a Journeyman. Bradey ultimately wanted to become a Master Electrician, and anyone who was fortunate enough to work with Bradey, knows that he had the work ethic, drive and determination to achieve whatever he wanted.

While he accomplished many milestones in his short life, Bradey was particularly committed and proud to be a member of the Boy Scouts of America. His pinnacle achievement was in earning the rank of Eagle Scout, a level that only 2% of Scouts have achieved, since the awards inception in 1912. Bradey was so passionate and proud to have been a Boy Scout, that he even had Scouting Alumni license plates on his truck.

Among his other passions, he enjoyed hunting with a particular fondness for goose hunting. He was often heard saying "there are a lot more geese in the sky than there are deer in the woods". This sentiment likely explains why Bradey enjoyed fishing, as long as the fish were cooperating, because "if the fish weren't biting…Bradey wasn't staying".

Bradey's truck was his pride and joy and he made clear to his friends and family that "Chevy Rules". He thoroughly enjoyed letting anyone who owned a Ford or a Dodge truck know exactly how he felt about their "poor choice".

Those who were fortunate enough to know Bradey would all recognize that infectious smile, his commitment to "team", whether that was work related or personal, and his insatiable appetite to over-achieve in whatever he took on as a challenge.

Bradey is survived by; his parents, Steve and Sheri Sorenson; brothers, Wyatt Sorenson, Matt (Brooke) Sorenson, Andy (Stephanie) Sorenson; grandmother, Patricia Sorenson; Uncles and Aunts, Scott (Sheri) Sorenson, Stuart (Kim) Sorenson, Rick (Julie) Van Der Leest, Julie (Bryan) Schlauch, Scott (Lisa) Van Der Leest; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by; his "big" brother, Dakota Sorenson; grandfather, Gerald Sorenson; grandparents, Jerry and Jennie Van Der Leest; Aunt, Katherine Van Der Leest; and Uncle, Shane Sorenson.

While Bradey certainly went through his teenager "preppy phase" in terms of his clothing choices, as he got older, he became fond of the "casual cowboy look" complete with his numerous collections of T-shirts, Ariat hat and boots. Anyone who wishes to attend the Celebration of Life for Bradey is encouraged to come dressed in casual attire, and help the family remember how he touched the lives of so many people, in such a short amount of time.

Bradey's "Celebration of Life" will be held from 10:00am - 2:00pm, on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, at the Reforestation Camp - Ski Lodge, 4418 Reforestation Rd, Suamico, WI 54313. Memorial Visitation will be from 10:00am – 12:00pm, with a Ceremony beginning at approximately 12:30pm and an opportunity to share memories, if you would like.

In keeping with honoring one of Bradey's life's passions, and something he was extremely proud of, the family has set up a fund that will help future Boy Scouts who want to achieve the Eagle Scout level. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage those who wish to make a monetary donation to do so by contributing to the "Bradey Sorenson Eagle Scout Scholarship Fund".

Arrangements are being handled by Pfotenhauer Family Funeral Home, Howard – Suamico, and their website will have all the details outlined above, along with the ability to read and print this obituary and send a card. Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com.
